The project ‘Welfare after Digitalization’ (WaD) examines the many and varied consequences of public sector digitization in Denmark. WaD is supported by The Velux Foundations with DKK 6 mill, and it running in 2021-2023.

Cooperative enterprise may help tackle some of society’s greatest problems, chief among them a constantly changing labour market. Traditionally, cooperative enterprise has played an important role in Denmark, but the business form is marginalized today. The IT University research group Reflection and Action (Reflact) is working on changing that.

The Chinese state pursues sustainable and clean growth through the development of data technologies and ambitious climate change mitigation plans, but its initiatives face uncertainties in local implementation and long-term effectiveness.

Digital Health in Humanitarian Crisis

Our research in digital health interventions in humanitarian crisis investigates computing platforms, connectivity, mobile devices, software, and algorithms to deliver health care to those most in need. Responsible digitalisation and innovative technologies can help, as they may deliver quick and cost-effective relief – a reason why we are committed to extend the use of secure and efficient digital tools in humanitarian actions.

Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reporting has become an important instrument for the sustainable transition of the next generation of business-startup. Nonetheless, poor ESG data quality impedes effective reporting, especially in domains such as Fintech where top-down ESG metrics may overlook pertinent material issues.
